Katadyn Gravity BeFree Water Filtration System 3 Liter Review
When it comes to water filtration, the Katadyn Gravity BeFree treats an impressive 1,000 liters before the filter needs replacing. Over the course of cleaning 1,000 liters, you might be glad to know cleaning requires absolutely zero backflushing. Thanks to Katadyn’s EZ-Clean Membrane all it takes to clean the filter is a simple shake and swish and you’re good to go.
For when you’re on the move, the Katadyn Gravity BeFree features a really handy carry strap which also doubles as a strap to hang the bladder on a tree branch. To keep all your clean water from draining out, removing the pour spout is incredibly easy.
After giving the 3L version a try, I have to say I’m really impressed by just how easy the system is to use. Not to mention, for a gravity water filter, the flow rate simply put, rocks! While there are many pump style filters on the market, I’ve come to like the flexible bladder with the small, portable filter attached. It’s not only compact but also remarkably lightweight.
