Engraved Gold Nissan GT-R on the Market
One of the most recognizable high-performance streetcars on the planet, Nissan’s GT-R R35 is one sexy-looking automobile. Powered by a twin-turbo V6 and AWD system, the GT-R is a drag race specialist. The car is so popular it even features in Furious 7, where it’s driven by the late, great Paul Walker.
Over the weekend a one-off engraved gold Nissan GT-R came onto the market. Appearing on the showroom of Dubai’s Auto Deals UAE, this incredible vehicle was first built in 2016. Of course, it’s not real gold, as that would weigh down the car. Instead, it’s a gold chrome that covers the car.
Kuhl Racing crafted the custom body kit made from 24k-gold chrome. Taking a year to complete, each part of the body kit was treated with a special chrome solution before being painted in gold paint to give the illusion the GT-R is made entirely from gold. The custom paint job was done by a Japanese artist named Takahiko Izawa.
Along with the body kit, Kuhl Racing also built a full titanium exhaust and modified the engine, with the GT-R now capable of producing between 850-900 horsepower.
So how much for this golden treasure you might ask? Surprisingly, for a car that’s only done 6,000 km, the sale price is just $435,600. That’s a lot less than the $1 million asking price when it first came onto the market six years ago.
You can check out more details about the car via Auto Deals AUE.
