Chris Pratt Takes on Alien Invaders in Amazon’s ‘The Tomorrow War’
The Tomorrow War is Amazon’s next big science fiction series starring the lovable Chris Pratt. Fresh from tackling dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park franchise, Pratt is now taking on alien invaders in this time travel adventure.
As the official Amazon synopsis details below, Pratt travels from the future to warn about an alien invasion.
In “The Tomorrow War,” the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrives from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species.
The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is a high-school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

Although the trailer doesn’t give much away, this looks like another winner from Amazon. Plus, anything with Pratt is bound to be good.
Directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) from a script by Zach Dean (24 Hours to Live), the alien movie also stars Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Keith Powers alongside Pratt, Strahovski, and Simmons.
The Tomorrow War hits Amazon Prime Video on July 2, 2021.
