Famous Republican Celebrities Who Speak Their Minds
The American political system has a two-party setup that allows you to vote for either the Democrats or the Republicans. The Democrats are currently in power, with President Joe Biden leading the left-leaning party. On the other side is the right-wing Republican party which is a bit of a shambles these days since Donald Trump lost the last election. But despite this, there are still many Republican celebrities who are getting behind the party and hoping for another victory in the 2024 election.
The celebrities that support the Republican party come from all walks of life. What they have in common is their conservative views on major issues such as abortion, women’s rights, racism, and many more. While Hollywood likes to think of itself as quite liberal, these Republican celebrities show that isn’t always the case.
So read on and discover which celebrities are conservative and will be voting for the red states in the upcoming election.
1. Donald Trump
The biggest Republican celebrity of all time is Donal Trump. Unlike every other Republican supporter in the limelight, Trump actually became President of the United States. How this happened is still anyone’s guess but for four years a reality TV star who has been bankrupt six times made it to the Oval Office. And if he gets his way he’ll be aiming for the White House again in 2024. Please don’t let that happen.
2. Candace Cameron Bure
Former Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure is a big supporter of the red states. She’s often found herself caught up in controversy, and not always due to her political leanings. While she is a full-blown Republican, Cameron also follows many Democrats on her Instagram. When people called her out for following these people, she created an Instagram story that explained her reasons.
“A follow does not mean an endorsement,” she explained in a January 2021 video posted to her Instagram story. “It just means I follow a broad range of people so that I have perspective. I want to know what’s going on in the world, I want to hear different sides of the argument. I follow people in entertainment that I don’t necessarily agree with or act the same way, but I want to hear what our society, what culture is dishing out.”
3. Kelsey Grammer
The star of Frasier is another card-carrying member of the Republican party. Speaking with Kirsty Young on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, he said that being a known Republican in Tinsletown is like having “a target on your back.” He went on to say he doesn’t think he would enter the political landscape these days as it is too dirty and he would be forced to stoop to those levels to succeed.
4. Melissa Joan Hart
Sabrina the Teenage Witch is another Republican actress who is very open about what side she supports. But unlike many, she did not endorse President Trump, instead voting for Gary Johnson to become the leader of the party.
5. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Considering he was the Republican Governor of California, you’d think Arnold Schwarzenegger would be a big supporter of Donald Trump. Turns out he’s not a fan. While President Trump was in power the Governator was very vocal in his unhappiness with his policies and the way he was going about his business.
In a video he posted to YouTube after the Capitol Riots, Schwarzenegger called Trump “the worst President in history,” making it clear he doesn’t want him anywhere near the party moving forward.
6. Kristy Swanson
Actress Kristy Swanson came under fire for supporting Donald Trump when he ran for office in 2016. She took to Twitter to let her followers know that she has “always been a proud Republican,” something she backed up with another tweet in December of 2019 that read: “The Democrats will forever be remembered as the dividers and destroyers of our nation.”
7. Tim Allen
Tim “the Toolman” Taylor is another dyed red Republican celebrity who has caused controversy with his views. In a 2017 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Tim Allen compared being openly conservative in Hollywood to life in 1930s Germany.
He also let his support be known for President Trump on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast in 2021, telling the comedian that “Once I realized the last president pissed people off, I kinda liked that.”
8. Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Best known for participating in season two of Survivor, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was part of The View from 2003 to 2013. The conservative often clashed with her more open-minded co-hosts Joy Baher, Whoopi Goldberg, and Rosie O’Donnell, before leaving for Fox and Freinds. She has since come back to The View in 2022 where she has caused all types of drama in a rating boost for the show.
9. James Woods
The Videodrome, Once Upon a Time in America, and Casino star has always been a staunch Republican. He believes that is why he has been blacklisted by Hollywood and no longer works. Surprisingly he was a former Democrat until Bill Clinton was impeached, then he switched sides.
10. Caitlyn Jenner
Caitlyn Jenner raised a few eyebrows when she came out in support of Donald Trump. It didn’t take long for her to backtrack when she realized how little he cared about the trans community. She wrote an article for The Washington Post condemning Trump and apologizing for supporting him.
“The reality is that the trans community is being relentlessly attacked by this president,” Jenner wrote. “My hope in him – in them – was misplaced, and I cannot support anyone who is working against our community. I do not support Trump. I must learn from my mistakes and move forward.”

11. Clint Eastwood
Surly Cline Eastwood is a national treasure. He has appeared in some of the greatest movies of all time and given us iconic characters such as Dirty Harry and the Man with No Name. Unfortunately, he’s also a god-fearing Republican with some rather old school views.
Speaking with Esquire magazine about Donald Trump he said, “He’s onto something because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness.”
12. Stacey Dash
Unless you are a massive fan of the movie Clueless, Stacy Dash probably isn’t a name you are familiar with. The 90s actress is another star who believes she has been blacklisted by Hollywood for her political beliefs.
“You’re tolerated only if you fit their liberal profile,” Dash told The Guardian in 2018. “I’ve been blacklisted. I don’t even get to auditions.” Like many other Republicans, after the Capitol riots, she came out and apologized for supporting Trump.
13. Jon Voight
Jon Voight has been supporting the Republican party for years. The Deliverance star is a big Trump supporter and has regularly endorsed him, both before, during, and after he became President of the United States of America.
“He’s an answer to our problems. We need to get behind him,” Voight told Breitbart in 2016. “The Republicans need to unite behind this man. We need somebody to go in and reconstruct us in a sort of way, get us back to where we were, who we need to be.”
He continues to support Trump on Twitter, a place Voight posts weird videos where he rambles on like this one. They are probably doing more damage than good, so keep on posting Jon.
14. Roseanne Barr
Roseanne Barr caused quite a stir after claiming her TV series, Rosanne, was canceled due to her support of Donald Trump. It was actually due to a racist tweet she sent out, but hey, when you are that far gone you’ll make up any excuse. Since the incident, Barr has posted several more questionable tweets but has generally remained out of the spotlight.
15. Kid Rock
It’s no surprise Southern rocker Kid Rock is a Republican. What might shock you is the fact that he supported President Barack Obama in the 2008 election campaign. But things have changed since then, with Rock very much on the side of Trump these days.
During an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Rock said Donald Trump once asked him for advice about US policy on Islamic State and North Korea. He also said the phrase, “Fuck Fauci,” which pretty much tells you all you need to know about his thoughts on the pandemic.
16. Meghan McCain
The daughter of war hero John McCain is a Republican with a more open view of the world than some of her celebrity colleagues. While she considers herself conservative, McCain is also a supporter of gay marriage and has repeatedly clashed with Donald Trump on Twitter.
She may have even voted for Joe Biden, a good friend of her family, in the most recent election after revealing, “There’s one man who has made pain in my life a living hell and another man who has literally shepherded me through the grief.”
17. Vince Vaughn
Funnyman Vince Vaughn is another registered Republican who keeps a low profile when it comes to discussing politics. He describes himself as a libertarian but sparked outrage when he was seen chatting with President Donald Trump at an NCAA National Championship. About the incident, Vaughn said, “It was the only time I’ve ever met him. We said hello. He was very personable. I didn’t get into policies.”
18. Laura Prepon
The former Scientologist is also said to be a supporter of the Republican party. The star of That ’70s Show and Orange is the New Black, Laura Prepon is a conservative who keeps her political views mainly to herself. She hasn’t been embroiled in any scandals about her beliefs like many Republican celebrities.
19. Adam Sandler
This one is a little blurry. While sleuths believe they found Adam Sandler’s name registered with the Republican Party and that he has donated money to at least one GOP candidate, there really isn’t enough evidence to say definitively that he is on the side of the reds.
Sandler did do a sketch on Saturday Night Live in 2019 where he brought back Opera Man and roasted President Trump, but that could have all been a diversionary tactic to stop people from thinking he’s a Republican.
