Sony Drops First Trailer for Blockbuster ‘Uncharted’
Sony Pictures has released the first official trailer for Uncharted, the blockbuster treasure hunting adventure starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Mark Wahlberg (Boogie Nights).
With the tagline “fortune favors the bold,” Uncharted follows explorer Nathan Drake (Holland) and his partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Wahlberg) as they go hunting for loot.
According to the official synopsis, the pair seek “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking the possible whereabouts of Nathan’s long-lost brother.
Uncharted is based on the wildly successful video game franchise of the same name, which has spanned four chronicles since first being released on the Playstation platform in 2007.
In the game world of Uncharted, Drake is believed to be a descendant of Sir Francis Drake. Elements from the life of Sir Francis Drake are combined with the swashbuckling fictional story elements to make up a large portion of the plot in the Uncharted series.
The film also stars Antonio Banderas (Zorro), Tati Gabrielle (The 100), and Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy).
Uncharted is set to hit cinemas on February 18.
