Make It Gold With California’s Gold Bar Whiskey

Kentucky may be home to much of America’s Whiskey, but there’s a gold rush in California.

The award-winning Gold Bar Whiskey offers a tremendously smooth yet quintessentially American whiskey from Master Blender Monty Paulsen, a second-generation winemaker whose roots lie deep in the San Francisco area.

A proud native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Paulsen is as experienced as they get, having spent 25 years in the winemaking business. His passion for both wine and spirits was sparked in the 70s at his family’s Pat Paulsen Vineyard in Sonoma.

Since then, he’s gone on to work with some of the biggest wineries in the Napa and Sonoma counties, with Gold Bar Whiskey his greatest achievement yet.

Gold Bar Whiskey offers flavor and smoothness from a mash bill of 88% corn, 9% rye, and 3% barley, aided by a premium finish in carefully selected Napa Valley wine casks then bottled at an enjoyable 40% ABV.

Each bottle of Gold Bar Whiskey offers a smooth body filled with notes of honey and fruit that contrasts companionably against lashings of spice and woody accents to create a balanced yet complex expression.

Gold Bar Whiskey’s accolades include Best in Show at the Denver International Spirits Competition and Double Gold at the San Francisco Spirits Competition.

This is a top-quality Californian craft whiskey great for sipping neat or accompanied by whiskey stones, yet offers the versatility for use in a brilliantly layered premium whiskey cocktail.

Each 750 ml bottle features a replica collector quality brass “Lady of Fortune” coin hand-pressed into each individual bottle. Designed by renowned Californian artist Steven Noble, each coin represents American craftsmanship and the rich history of Gold Bar whiskey. The “Lady of Fortune” coin is also a symbol of good luck and prosperity.

Along with the collector coin, each gold bar-shaped bottle is individually numbered with its unique bottle number, blend number, and bottle lot etched on the three foil stamped label. This is a notable aspect of the eye-catching bottle design and another reason why Gold Bar Whiskey is a worthy addition to your home bar.
