The Vines Could Be the Luxury Wine Experience You Are Looking For

Exclusive explorer’s club The Vines is more than just a wine subscription service. It’s an invitation-only worldwide community dedicated to the craft of winemaking.

Members have the opportunity to travel to the world’s most coveted wine regions and learn the art of winemaking with master practitioners, and even create their unique blends.

The initiation fees are $100,000 (USD) and annual dues are $1,500- $3,000 per quarter. Winemaking costs per barrel range from $7,000 to $37,000 based on site.

Founder Michael Evans debuted the Vines explorer’s club in 2020 after creating and operating the successful luxury resort and private vineyard, The Vines of Mendoza.

Evans realized from his Argentine winemaking resort the sublime opportunities for creating luxurious wine in different global locations. By utilizing a location’s premier grapes, cultural personality, terroir, and local expertise, club members could craft truly unforgettable experiences completely unique from the norm.

“Our members travel to the world’s most storied winemaking regions, learning the craft from master practitioners and creating their own unique vintages,” Evans told Natfluence in an interview about The Vines global project.

“The idea was to get to know the world by making wine – to have outposts at select vineyards where we could make our own micro labels by building relationships with the most inventive, celebrated growers and winemakers. We partner with inventive, award-winning winemakers around the world to learn their unique methods and philosophies. Each of our terroir-focused producer partners represents a distinct approach to the craft, drawing from local varietals and traditions to create wines that truly capture the unique spirit of their region.”

In addition to traveling the world and creating your own wine, members of The Vines are sent cases of wine throughout the year and are offered access to curated events centered around wine, food, culture, and adventure.

Part of the allure of The Vines is the ability to create wine in one location or to move throughout the world gaining immeasurable knowledge from master winemakers across the globe to create the perfect wine experiences for you.

By being a part of The Vines concept, you aren’t just buying bottles or cases of wine every month. “You experience the authenticity of a place from an insider’s perspective. You are connected to the land and the locals – not imposing on a place or culture but reveling it.”

Over the course of the next five years, The Vines plans to offer winemaking in 12 different regions, as well as expand beyond winemaking, offering members a series of pop-ups like making Sake in Japan and Mezcal in Mexico.
