27-Year-Old Crypto Wonder Drops $12 Million on Hollywood Hills Mansion
As every day passes more and more people are getting rich off cryptocurrency. While my dreams of hitting the big time aren’t going to plan, Yunfan “Chandler” Song is laughing all the way to the bank. The former Amazon engineer is making bank as the CEO of Ankr Network, one of the fastest-rising crypto startups in America. Song is also the co-founder of Bounce, an NFT platform he established in 2019. If that’s not enough, the 27-year-old made it onto Forbes’ annual “30 under 30” list. Now he can also add real estate tycoon to his list of achievements.
The Dirt is reporting Son has invested $12 million in a modern mansion in the famed Hollywood Hills. Designed by the late Austin Kelley of XTEN Architecture, the contemporary home is built into the mountainside. Constructed from white slabs of concrete, the home is elevated above street level.
Consisting of five bedrooms and six bathrooms across 7,450 square feet of space, the interior is a mix of white walls, marble floors, and wood features. The lounge area has a wet bar, fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood glass doors that open to an outside entertaining space. The kitchen features a marble bench and Miele appliances while the movie room is completely covered in a suede-like material, something Jerry Seinfeld would no doubt be a fan of.
The basement level has a games room, a 2,000 bottle wine cellar, and a private garage with room for two large SUVs or four small cars. While the backyard isn’t expansive, the alfresco spaces are ideal for entertaining while a fountain feature sits under olive trees near the only grassed area. The infinity pool isn’t large enough to swim laps, but it does include an inset spa and Baja sunbathing shelf, making it the perfect spot to relax and watch the sunset over LA.
Then there is the master suite of all master suites that takes up the majority of the second level. Spanning 2,000 square feet, the minimalist bedroom features smoked French Oak cabinetry, a fireplace, a Miele wine refrigerator, and a built-in espresso machine. There’s a massive dressing room and a luxurious bathroom that includes a steam shower and chrome bathtub. A wrap-around terrace also offers spectacular views of the Sunset strip.
