Cordovan Mens UGG Hannen TL Boot Review – Rugged Full-Grain Leather Footwear
With stunning oiled and waterproofed full-grain leather alongside antiqued metal hardware, the men’s UGG Hannen TL boot features a style that blends urban with the outdoors.
The look is masculine, refined, and handsomely rugged.
With a 7” shaft, this boot is certainly hearty, yet, when it comes to weight it’s surprisingly feather light. I’ve owned countless men’s boots in the past, and I have to say, walking around in these feels absolutely wonderful. Personally, I cannot stand the feel of a bulky, boat anchor around my foot, which is the case with certain other brands out there.
Luckily, UGG was able to shed the weight of the boot while still offering all the features I love. For instance, you’ll find a seam-sealed construction with waterproof leather. These protective features make keeping the feet dry and warm against things like puddles, heavy rain, slush and deep snow an effortless task.
Of course, that’s just the start. Below, you’ll find my detailed cordovan men’s UGG Hannen TL boot review, alongside my impressions on comfort, durability, traction and much more.

Cordovan Mens UGG Hannen TL Boot Review
If you’re looking for a solid men’s winter boot this year, the UGG Hannen TL boot is a must. While the waterproof construction is essential for the winter season, where the Hannen TL boot also really shines is the UGGpure wool lining.
As you step your foot into the boot (without socks of course), clouds of wool hug your toes, heel, and sole. It’s as if these boots were made to fit your own feet specifically. Needless to say, the comfort is just unreal and out of this world! Best of all, there’s also a Vildona and foam insole with more UGGpure wool lining for additional moisture-wicking cushioning and warmth.
For cold days trekking through the woods, these are the boots I want on my feet. For rainy days spent in the city, it’s hard to leave home without wanting to desperately put a pair of these on first. From the woods to the workplace, these boots balance ruggedness with professionalism. When it comes to versatility, the UGG Hannen TL men’s boots go so well with so many different male styles.
In terms of traction, I really like the UGG Treadlite outsole. The bottom of this boot is incredibly thick, stable and offers plenty of grip across all the seasons. Even off-road treks deep into the wild feel great with a pair of these on. Loose stones, dirt and giant boulder climbing left me confident in believing that these boots make every step a rock-solid one.
When it comes to durability, the construction quality is top-notch throughout the boot. All the stitch work is neat and beautifully well done. The antiqued metal hardware appears to be able to withstand multiple winters of use and beyond.
For the finer details, I really like the classic lace-up front with a handy rear leather pull tab. You’ll find a nice antiqued metal UGG branded round rivet on the rear of the tab for additional support. At the bottom heel of the boot, there’s a stitched black leather UGG waterproof patch.
Rated to an impressive -20 degrees Celsius or -4 degrees F, this boot will get you through arctic blizzards where others simply can’t. With a foot-hugging, soft wool insulation, a waterproof construction, and enhanced-traction outsole, the men’s UGG Hannen TL boot will become your best friend in the brutal outdoors.
Of course, why wait for the winter if you don’t have. I like these boots so much that I’m going to start wearing them far before fall even has a chance to arrive.
