ECCO Rugged Track Gtx Hi Boots Review
When it comes to stylish looking hiking boots, the ECCO Rugged Track GTX HI boots are as beautiful to look at as they are functional. Available in both bison/mocha and black color options, regardless of which you choose both feature a top-notch full-grain leather upper construction.
On the exterior, you’ll also find a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane to keep moisture out and your feet dry. With a 7 inch shaft, these men’s hiking boots offer plenty of foot protection with a surprisingly lightweight feel to match. Sure, they look a bit heavy at first glance, but in reality, ECCO has managed to make these boots extremely durable without going overboard on the weight.
Personally, I love the fact that these don’t feel like boat anchors on my feet, yet, still feature a crazy well-made construction. In terms of durability, the RUGGED TRACK GTX HI, is true to its name, downright rugged!

For grip in all environments, there’s a RECEPTOR technology latex rubber sole with an aggressive profile. I’ve had the opportunity to test out a lot of hiking boots in my time, but these offer some fierce grip. From rocky terrain upwards to loose dirt downhill, every footstep forward felt wonderfully confident.
While the outside of this boot impressed me greatly, the interior definitely made me smile. Sliding on a pair of these boots is quite simply put, a dream. They feel absolutely wonderful.
The PU foam-injected midsoles and atomically shaped lasts offer a beautiful level of comfort for the feet. Add in the vegetable-tanned leather inlays with ECCO’s comfort fiber system and you’ll want to hike all day long with a pair of these on your toes.
