Dream Racing Las Vegas Review – Lamborghini Huracan Exotic Car Experience
Imagine having access to your very own private collection of exotic and race-built super cars, a professional racer who coaches you one-on-one, and a private track to top it all off.
In one word, the experience is: Intense.
Let’s face it, if you think table games in Vegas are addictive, you haven’t driven a Lamborghini Huracan on a race track!
It’s one of those thrills in life that every man should experience at least once.
Luckily, it won’t cost you too much.
In reality, $399 plus or minus, is a serious bargain.
Dream Racing allows you to bypass the $200,000 or more required to buy an exotic vehicle. Not to mention, the cost of hiring a professional race car driver to train with, insanely high vehicle maintenance expenses, track rental costs, transportation to the track, professionally building up a race car, insurance and so on.
With that said, go ahead and explore my Dream Racing review below, and you’ll know exactly why the experience is worth every penny.
Special thanks to Steve and Alec for hosting us as well.
Transportation to the track.
From Aria to Dream Racing, the cost of an Uber or Lyft will run you around $27 or more per way. Luckily, you can avoid the hassle and cost, and simply meet their transportation team inside of the Crystals shopping mall. Just looked for the red Ferrari next to Starbucks.
The mall itself is attached next to Aria hotel, which makes things even easier if you are staying there in the first place. If you’ve never been inside of Crystals, you’ll find its home to numerous luxury retailers from Tom Ford to Audemars Piguet and beyond. Should you miss your ride don’t worry, transportation runs another route every thirty minutes or so.
The ride itself takes around thirty minutes, however, with so many stunning mountain views to take in, it feels far shorter than it actually is.
Exotic Car Selection
If you’re looking for the absolute largest selection of exotic cars out there, Dream Racing has got you covered. Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Corvette, Mercedes, Acura, Nissan, Maserati, and so on. Regardless if you want a classic muscle car like the Ford Mustang GT Fastback or something more exotic like the Lamborghini Aventador SV, you’ll find it.
Of course, Dream Racing doesn’t just stop there. Unlike places such as Exotic Racing, they don’t offer a one size fits all racecar. Instead, they offer numerous race cars built specifically for the track. Personally, I don’t know anyone who wants to drive a race car built with 230 horsepower. Sure, it will get the job done if the driver has enough experience at hand, but why settle for so much less than you have to?
On the other hand, imagine driving a Ferrari 458 GT, Lamborghini Gallardo GT, or Porsche 911 GT, all built for racing… Now we’re talking!
The training.
The experience begins with a 17-minute long video, which covers everything you need to know. While you might think it’s a generic introduction video, I was surprised to discover that actually, it wasn’t. In reality, it felt as if a racing professional put it together to give you the best information in the shortest amount of time. The 17 minutes of film felt more like 7 or less.
Next up was the simulation. While you might call it a video game, the truth is, there was a coach standing next to you the entire time to give you immediate feedback during every second of the simulation.
Without the simulation at Dream Racing, I probably would have wasted a good 2 or 3 laps just getting acquainted with the track. Luckily, I didn’t have to. Thanks to a virtual scan of their track, I was able to get an idea of every corner before I actually stepped foot in the real car.
Was the simulation as close to actually driving on the track? Not quite, it’s different, but in the end, it’s rather helpful.
The exotic car racing experience.
Here’s what I choose to drive at Dream Racing, a black Lamborghini Huracan. Five laps took around 9 minutes to complete.
At no point did the instructor riding with me ask me to speed up or slow down. Though, we did stop for a moment to let another race car pass. In reality, he was one-hundred percent comfortable with me pushing the limits and driving as I felt most enjoyable.
The truth is, I kept expecting the instructor to beg me to slow it on down or to yell in terror, but neither happened. At one point I believe I was up to 104 mph and had to slam the brakes to take the next corner. The instructor didn’t break a sweat. Instead, he continually kept giving me advice on how to improve my skills on the track. It was literally like having your own private racing coach teaching you one on one, on your own private track.
In retrospect, if you’ve raced on the streets but haven’t raced on an actual track you’re missing out. Corners come hard and quick and to get the speed up you really have to push the car hard. In reality, you’ve got 1.2 miles of road to drive on with 9 turns along the way. The track doesn’t forgive as easily as a larger and longer street way does. You are constantly having to look forward and make sharp, fast reactions.
Dream Racing vs Exotics Racing and others.
There are a handful of different places in Las Vegas to get an exotic car experience.
The truth is, if you want to the ultimate experience, aka the best of the best, it starts at a Dream Racing.
From the scanned track simulation that helps you avoid wasting around 3 laps to the stellar safety record, incredible racing instructor backgrounds, fully built up race cars, massive exotic car selection and so on…
The numerous advantages Dream Racing has over everyone else makes them king of the track.
While you might think the experience ends the moment you park, it doesn’t. The truth is, Dream Racing lets you explore every exotic car on the track. They encourage you to take photos of any car you wish; not to mention, they also allow you to hop inside of other vehicles to take a closer look. It’s easy to think $399 for 5 laps, however, in reality you get a far more than that. You get complimentary transportation to the track, one-on-one simulation training, one-on-one live track training, freedom to explore all the other exotic cars, and a whole lot more.
Ultimately is it worth it?
Absolutely, yes.
If you want to push yourself and an exotic race car to the limits, there’s no better place to do it than at Dream Racing.
