16 Blonde Actors Making Their Mark in Hollywood
As much as talent is important, the look of actors and actresses is equally important. It’s not just how talented they are or the types of clothes they wear, but also how white their teeth are and the color of their hair. Blonde actors are plentiful in Hollywood and most of them don’t match up to the stereotype of the blonde bombshell with no intellect.
Even though people like to say something like hair color has nothing to do with a person’s success, in Tinlestown it’s like an added weapon in an actor’s arsenal. The best blonde actors not only look incredible, but are smart, funny, and talented. Put all this together and it’s easy to see why there are so many fantastic blonde actors in the movie business.
We want to commemorate these blonde actors marking their mark in Hollywood, so we’ve collected our favorites for you to read about below.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio

The most famous blonde actor in the industry, Leonardo DiCaprio remains a heartthrob at the ripe old age of 48. With a penchant for young women and a filmography that screams movie star, Los Angeles-born DiCaprio has managed to stay on top of the A-list for a quarter of a century.
Breaking out as a teenager in 1993s What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, it was his roles in blockbusters Romeo + Juliet and Titanic that turned DiCaprio into a bonafide star. Since then he’s starred in box office smashes The Beach, The Departed, Inception, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, while also being a big advocate of climate change and donating millions to his philanthropic efforts.
2. Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth’s golden locks are part of the reason he got cast as Thor in the Marvel big-screen adaptation of the comic book hero. Before his big break, the Aussie actor starred in the soap Home and Away and alongside Sean Bean in the British indie Ca$h. After the first Thor movie made him a household name, Hemsworth has gone on to have a wildly successful career.
Along with featuring in four Avengers movies and a further three Thor sequels, he’s also started his own action franchise, Extraction, appeared as James Hunt in the racing drama Rush, and starred in Men in Black: International, the newest movie in the sci-fi franchise. He also appeared with fan favorite and fellow blonde Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman.
3. Daniel Craig

When it was announced that Daniel Craig was the new James Bond, groans could be heard throughout the world over. A blonde Bond? Well, 16 years and five movies later, Craig has cemented himself as the best Bond in many moviegoers’ eyes. Besides Bond, Craig’s best movies include the gangster flick Layer Cake, David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake, and Rain Johnson’s Knives Out series of murder mystery movies, which also stars Ana de Armas who is playing Marilyn Monroe alongside Adrien Brody, Lily Fisher, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Evan Williams in the Andrew Dominik movie Blonde. See the blonde connection?
Married to fellow actress Rachel Weisz, Craig is also a fan of the theatre, having walked the boards on Broadway and starred in the plays Betrayal, Othello, and Macbeth.

According to MensHairCuts, Ryan Gosling has honey-blonde hair (basically blonde hair), which only adds to the actor’s heartthrob appeal. Getting his start as part of The Mickey Mouse Club, the Canadian is now one of the biggest draws in the business. The Notebook, Drive, La La Land, Crazy, Stupid, Love, Blade Runner 2049, and The Gray Man are some of his best-known movies.

Rom-coms and comedies are Owen Wilson’s bread and butter. The older brother of Luke Wilson has had an interesting career that started with the Wes Anderson indie flick Bottle Rocket. Wilson soon found himself with small roles in movies such as Anaconda, The Haunting, and Armageddon before he joined forces with Jackie Chan for the smash comedy Shanghai Noon.
This took him to a whole new level of stardom and he soon found himself starring in a long list of hit comedies (Wedding Crashers the highlight) before graduating to rom-coms (Marley & Me the pick of the bunch).
6. Alex Pettyfer

British actor and model Alex Pettyfer has yet to really establish himself as one of Hollywood’s top actors. While always good, his recent output hasn’t matched that of his early work. Stormbreaker, I Am Number Four, and Magic Mike are great films that propelled Pettyfer into the realms of the Hollywood mainstream, but he’s struggled to maintain his grip on the A-list.
Hopefully, now that Pettyfer has his own production company with business partner James Ireland, known as Dark Dreams Entertainment, he will be able to get some better roles and reclaim his spot on the fame ladder.
7. Chris Pratt

He is part of the blockbuster Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises and has starred in sci-fi The Tomorrow War and Amazon Prime series The Terminal List.
But it hasn’t all been plain sailing, with Pratt also featuring in the horrendous Movie 43 with the likes of Naomi Watts, Denis Quaid, Hugh Jackman, and Toby Huss a few years back.

Outside of movies, Butler is an avid music fan and is known to have taught himself how to play the piano. He has several projects in the works, including the much-anticipated Dune: Part Two.

Although he never won a Tony Award or a Primetime Emmy, Hoffman did receive a Best Actor award from the Academy Awards, British Academy Awards, and Golden Globe Awards for his captivating performance in Capote.

Ben Foster is an interesting case study. The blonde actor has everything needed to be an out-and-out major star, but for some reason seems happy to stay in the background and take roles that pipe his interest and not the Academy’s. This has led to a long and fruitful career packed full of great roles in all types of movies.
Some of his best performances have come in the movies Hostage, 3:10 to Yuma, Alpha Dog, Rampart, Hell or High Water, and The Survivor. A fan of Transcendental Meditation and married to a former Scientologist, Foster is very open to looking at life in different ways.

People began to take notice when he popped up in The Hunger Games with new talents Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. He’s had notable roles in Lone Survivor, Midway, and Bad Boys for Life, but it’s his performance in Vikings as Björn Ironside, the son of Viking king Ragnar Lodbrok, that turned Ludwig into a star.
