Rumpl Blanket Review Puffy Sherpa Original – Outdoor Technical Blankets For Camping
When it comes to outdoor and indoor comfort, Rumpl has you cozily covered. Let’s face it, your ordinary, everyday blankets just aren’t suited for both the indoors and the outdoors. They get dirty, destroyed and seriously lack on the insulation factor.
Luckily, Rumpl decided to come up with the ultimate solution. Not only are their blankets water, dirt, and odor and stain resistant but they are also constructed with man’s best friend in mind. As almost anyone with a dog knows, pet hair gets everywhere and I mean everywhere.
Fortunately, Rumpl blankets repel pet hair and feature nylon ripstop fabric to prevent tears from sharp pet paws. While I consider these some of the best camping blankets out there, they also work wonderfully back at home. Sure, they look like sleeping bags and are constructed of almost the same stuff, but there is a huge difference.
When was the last time you washed your sleeping bag? With Rumpl’s blankets, I can simply toss them in the front loading washing machine and dry them in the dryer.
Of course, those are just a few of things of the many great things about Rumpl. Below, you’ll find my Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket review and Rumple Puffy Sherpa Blanket review. You’ll find both 1-person and 2-person sizes alongside my thoughts on each.

Burnt Olive Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket Review
The Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket features a really sharp pattern inspired by nature and comes with a two-sided 20D ripstop nylon construction. Aside from being tough as nails while also looking super aesthetic, Rumpl also incorporated their unique DWR shield.
To keep you warm, 3D hollow fiber synthetic insulation does the trick. Yet, even as a 2-person blanket with all that insulation, it’s still rather lightweight and plenty packable. An included polyester stuff sack that’s water resistant makes life easy when you need to conserve space.
I choose the Burnt Olive color for my Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket, though there are numerous different options to pick from. If you look closely you can see the contrasting edge colors, which add some nice visual appeal.
Charcoal Rumpl Puffy Sherpa Blanket Review
The Rumpl Sherpa blanket is cozy, cozy, cozy! I cannot get enough of this thing. The softness of the 100% polyester Sherpa fleece is absolutely incredible, not to mention warm. On colder nights around 40°F (~4°C), this is the blanket you’ll want to reach for. With 100 grams of 3D hollow fiber synthetic insulation, it’s like having your own personal space heater on hand.
On the opposite side of the soft Sherpa, you’ll find a matte 40D ripstop nylon fabric with Rumpl’s DWR shield. Unlike the Original Puffy Blanket, the Sherpa version doesn’t come with a stuff sack. Instead, it features a carry handle and compression straps.
Best of all, there’s a hidden pocket on the side which allow you to tuck away the straps and handle when you’re not carrying it. You can easily hide things like cash or your phone inside of the blanket too.
The size I choose to own was the 1-person version with a charcoal color. Even as an adult male, this blanket was very generously sized for both myself and my dog.
