Back then you could buy a large house for a reasonable price and still afford to live a comfortable life indulging in other pleasures. The majority of boomers these days are now retired and living a life of luxury while other generations, such as generation x, generation z, and millennials, struggle to survive. Many believe if the younger generation just applied themselves and worked hard instead of thinking everything should be hand delivered to them then the world wouldn’t be like it is. Nobody is quite sure of its origin, but it’s believed the first person to use the phrase was an anonymous user on the 4chan forum /r9k/ on September 3, 2015. Since then it has taken on a life of its own, with so many different “ok boomer memes” found across the internet.

When boomers believe millennials are entitled and don’t want to work but then advertise a job position that requires someone who has worked for 30 years and has all the necessary skills you would pick up over that time. No wonder nobody can get a job these days.

It was much easier to find a job without a high school degree during the boomer generation. There was plenty of work to go around and as this meme states, you could fail high school and still get a well-paid job, buy a house, and retire with a stack of cash.
