Hestra Granvik Glove Review
Available in four fun and fashionable color combinations, the Hestra Sport Classic Granvik Gloves provide maximum warmth and protection, as well as style and comfort. Truly the perfect pair of gloves for any and all events.
The exciting color combination options include an interior color of light brown with black on the outside, black on the interior and navy blue on the exterior, inner yellow and outer orange, and finally, inner dark brown and outer light brown. Choose the style that best suits your wardrobe as well as your comfort.
The outer material is comprised of gorgeously grained elk leather from Finland and Sweden that’s been specially designed for extreme warmth, protection, and durability. Using a natural method, the gloves’ knitted, 100 percent wool terry lining is uniquely crafted to combine the perfect ratio of terry loops and curly fibers in order to bind an optimal amount of air for the most heat for your hands. Finally, the elastic feature in the wrist section snugly hugs your wrist, providing additional protection against wind and cold air, preventing the harsh weather conditions from piercing your skin.
The Hestra Sport Classic Granvik Gloves are perfect for any occasion, whether you are driving to a dinner party, building a snowman with your family, or getting ready to shovel snow from your driveway. With this pair of gloves, you’ll never have to worry about cold hands again, no matter how low the temperature drops. Hestra works hard to keep you and your hands protected, in not only an effective, but also a fashionable way as well.
Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski GTX + Gore Grip Glove Review
When it comes to skiing essentials the Hestra Alpine Pro Narvik Wool Terry has been my go to glove for a while now, but their latest Army Leather Heli Ski GTX + Gore Grip gloves have officially won me over. It’s just out of this world. As part of the Alpine Pro collection, these long-cuffed gloves are designed for ultra-harsh conditions. Each pair is windproof, waterproof and features a highly breathable construction for plenty of comfort while cruising through powder.
Unique to the 2019/2020 model, Hestra has added GORE Grip technology to their Army Leather Heli Ski GTX glove. After trying out this technology first hand I’m beyond impressed. Latching onto zipper pulls and other smaller items, which used to be somewhat of a pain in the past, are a breeze with the GORE Grip tech. Of course, my hands feel firmly planted to larger items like my ski poles too.
In addition to the above, the Army Leather Heli Ski GTX + Gore Grip gloves also feature the traditional removable liner system that I’ve come to love. In the blink of an eye I can change out the lining to match the outdoor conditions.
With that said, Hestra is leaps above the rest of the pack when it comes to making the best of the best in terms of durable, functional and beautiful gloves. Not only do you get the handcuffs, snow lock, carabiner, and pull strap with Velcro closure, but also you get a piece of gear from a brand that never fails to perform.
GORE Grip model not available until 2019/2020. You’ll find the previous/current version available for purchase below.
